Some of my favorite midnight snacks include:
popcorn - to keep it as healthy as possible, I cook the kernels on the stove in coconut oil then top with salt and lime juice instead of butter. Delicious and tangy!
avocado toast - avocado is like butter on a tree. spread it on some toast and top with seeds, salt, and pepper? you’ve got yourself quite a yummy and easy snack.
hummus - you can make it yourself ahead of time or buy a tub. Surprisinglyip it with chips, or put it on toast, or use carrots as chips to increase the health benefits. Surprithegly good!
smoothies - OK, this is probably not best for before bed as it is/can be a bit heavy but with the right ingredients, you’ll still be consuming a lot of nutrients in a cold, tasty & thick drink.
leftovers - sometimes at that hour, I am super tired and don’t want to put in the effort to make anything at all. if I have something already made I can stomach at that time, I’ll just eat it or microwave it if necessary and voila.
